Timberlake Praises Community Heroes Amid Ongoing Los Angeles Fires

Justin Timberlake used his latest concert to highlight the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area. Performing at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on Saturday, January 18, the "Cry Me a River" singer paused the show to thank first responders and affected residents for their resilience.

"I want to acknowledge what's happening in L.A.," Timberlake said. "I want to give a shout-out to the first responders, firefighters, citizens of the community, and everyone who's given so much." With his own touring crew touched by the crisis, Timberlake implored the audience to keep Los Angeles in their thoughts and prayers and donate if possible.

Calling attention to the humanity displayed in times of crisis, the pop star praised the unity among neighbors helping each other out. Timberlake's next stop will take him away from the L.A. area fires to Palm Desert, California, on January 20. The destructive wildfires, labeled the Eaton and Palisades fires, broke out on January 7 and have forced thousands of evacuations across Los Angeles.
